Economic Survey 2022: 8.5% economic growth rate in 2022-23
Ahmedabad. Monday, January 31, 2022
Just a moment ago, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey for the year 2021-22 in Parliament. According to the survey, the country's economic growth rate is expected to be 8 to 8.5 percent in the 2022-23 financial year. It should be noted here that the economic growth rate is estimated to be 9.5 per cent in the year 2021-22. This means that the country's economy is likely to slow down next year, according to the Economic Survey.
Survey indicates government spending will increase, investment may increase
The survey, released today, gives a clear indication that the country's economy is growing, and as the size of the tax increases, the government has enough space to support the economy by increasing spending next year, investing more. This means that the central government may increase its spending in the budget to be presented on Tuesday. It is assumed that the total expenditure in the Central Government Budget 2022-23 will be Rs. 39 lakh crore is likely to remain.
