- Small and Medium Enterprises Consumption Urea Prices Rise by 150%

Small and medium enterprises in Gujarat are facing the problem of rising raw material prices and increasing burden of capital. The price of H-acid per kg is Rs. Around 70. Naphthalene is used as the raw material for this. Its price per kg has gone up by 30 to 40 per cent. Imported sulfur has to be used to make sulfuric acid. The price of sulfuric acid per kg has gone up by Rs. It is only around 12. On the other hand, coal prices have gone up by 150 per cent. Coal available at Rs 5,000 per tonne today is Rs. More than 15,000 has been spent. The price of gas used in industrial units has also gone up by 30 per cent. Torrent Power's electricity rates are going up. About 80% of the cost of caustic soda makers comes from electricity. But this extra burden cannot be passed on to their finished product. So their majans are being cut. Dimple Patel, president of the Vatva Industries Association, says the average price of raw materials has gone up by 30 per cent.

National Vice President of Federation of Indian SME Association and K.T. Patel says that the units using CNG in Vatva have paid Rs. The price of gas was Rs. 20.3.

Similarly, if the industry consumes more gas than it has booked, its standard cubic meter will cost Rs. 4.5 had to be paid. The same gas will have to be paid on March 8. The increase is estimated to be more than 50 per cent. Nawadia says natural gas should be included in the goods and services tax. Doing so will greatly relieve the industries that use natural gas. They will be able to take advantage of GST refunds on natural gas. Industries cannot impose price increases on finished products.

On the other hand, the price of urea for industrial use has gone up by a whopping 150 per cent. Technical grade urea is also widely used in chemical units for making dyes and pigments. Urea is also used to absorb contaminants from contaminants released after burning diesel. The chemical industry is facing a severe shortage.

The shortage of urea is also increasing as India has started using urea to achieve the norms of Six (BS-3). MOP urea is being used for Euro-2. To reduce the pollution caused by vehicles moving on the road, pollutants are being used to absorb pollutants by injecting exhaust gas into the chamber. It is not fair that the supply of urea to the industries is declining due to low pollution. M Federation of Indian SME Association Vice President National and Gujarat in-charge K.T. Patel says. NK Nawadia, former president of Ankleshwar Industries Association, says that companies producing urea have slashed the price from Rs 3 per kg to Rs 2 per kg. As a result, the condition of small businesses using urea has deteriorated. Athak burden has increased on them. At present, the government has allocated large quantities of commercial urea to large industries. Under these circumstances, at least 50 per cent commercial urea should be reserved for small and medium enterprises out of the quota allotted to industries.

Urea is also used to make coolants. Large PSU units are being diverted to urea. BPCL, HPCL or IOC pulls urea for it. It is necessary to reserve quantity of urea for MSMEs. Otherwise it will be difficult for small and medium enterprises to get urea. If this situation continues then it will be time to close small units. Industries should not be eliminated for driving. If the industry runs, the vehicles will run on the road automatically. If you don't drive an industrial vehicle, the vehicles will also run less on the road.
