Gold- Silver rises sharply

MUMBAI: The bullion market was officially closed in the gold and silver market on Saturday. In the closed market, however, prices of precious metals were fluctuating narrowly. Following the Christmas holidays and weekends, trade was booming in the world market and there was news that gold and silver prices remained calm in the world market and prices were also stable at home.
World gold prices were reportedly hovering around ૮૮૩ 12-13 an ounce over the weekend and silver at ૮૨ 4.5 to ૮૩ 7.5 an ounce. Platinum was at ૨૬ 105 to ૨ૠ105 and palladium was at થી 71 to ૨૩૪૨ 8. In the US, global market players are now watching how talks on Corona's thematic package move forward next week.
In Mumbai, meanwhile, gold was trading at Rs 30,000 per 10 grams, excluding GST, and Rs 30,200 per gram, excluding GST, while silver was trading at around Rs 200 to Rs 300 per kg, excluding GST. Prices with GST were three per cent higher than this.
Prices were also calm in the Ahmedabad market. In the Ahmedabad market, gold was trading at Rs 31,600 at Rs 2.50 and Rs 21,600 at Rs 7.50 while silver was trading at Rs 4,000. The dollar index has fallen against a basket of various currencies as the British pound has risen globally following the Brexit pact trade deal between Britain and Europe.
The Center for Economic and Business Research also predicts that China's economy will outperform the US economy. In such an environment, the dollar will depreciate against the rupee in the currency market by the end of this year as domestic dollar inflows increase and currency rupee analysts are predicting a rise in the rupee.
Meanwhile, corona infestation has resurfaced globally. After Britain, corona cases have now increased in the United States and also in Russia, South Africa, Europe and Nigeria. This is also being watched by players in various markets of the world. Meanwhile, global crude oil prices were reported to be between ર્ક 2.50 and ૨૫ 7.5 a barrel in New York and બ્રે 21.8 to à«© 61.50 a barrel over the weekend.
