Companies buy land for infrastructure projects, but as work begins on the land, disputes arise over the titles of its various parts, which leads to the project stalling. According to the estimates of industrial institutes, about 3 lakh hectares of land involved in the infra project is in dispute due to which Rs. Investment of Rs 15 lakh crore has gone to waste.

Thus, even the infra in the country. And land has to be made available to boost the manufacturing sector. Foreign investors stay away from such controversies. Thus, keeping all these issues in mind, the government has carried out an exercise to introduce a new law.
