The Sensex fell 110 points to 44,150

The weekend saw a break in the Sensex-Nifty-based rally today, with funds, high networth investors, players wreaking havoc in small, mid-cap, cash stocks. The BSE Small Cap Index jumped 3.06 points to 17.15 and the BSE Mid Cap Index jumped 216.5 points to a new record high of 19,612.5. Funds were aggressive in special automobile, consumer durables, pharmaceuticals stocks with attraction in banking-finance stocks. While profit-booking in IT-software services stocks, the Sensex-Nifty based market remained in the negative zone. At the close of trading, the Sensex was down 110.05 points at 9,12.5 and the Nifty spot was down 13.05 points at 12,9.5. The US dollar had gained 18 paise to close at Rs 2.08 against the rupee today. International crude oil prices rose sharply today to ન્ટ 4.11 a barrel on Brent crude and ૩ 6.31 a barrel on Nymex crude.
Sensex 2000 remains intact: up 5,705 to 5,6, down 110 points to 5,130
Trading started strong today. The Sensex opened higher at 9,5.05 against the previous close of 7,8.5. At the company, Asian Paints, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, the attraction increased to 302.5. Profit bookings in IT stocks including TCS, HCL Technology, Infosys and Axis Bank, Power Grid Corp, ONGC, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, Hindustan Unilever, Hindustan Unilever Sales in India, including ITC, fell to 9,9.21 and ended at 10,05.5, down 110.05 points.
The Nifty spot fell sharply to 19,08 at the top and 12,615 at the bottom, finally falling 15 points to 13,8.
NSE's Nifty Spot Index opened at 19,018.05 against the previous close of 17.2. Levali and Titan Company, Asian Paints, Tata Steel, Diviz Lab., Tata Steel, Britannia, Tech Mahindra, Cipla, Nestle India, NTPC, among others. With the sell-off in IT stocks, HDFC Life, Axis Bank, JSW Steel, Power Grid Corp., Hindalco, Dr. Reddy's Lab. 4.5 was closed.
Call of Nifty 15000 decreased from 12.5 to 20.8: Put of Nifty 12,200 increased from 20.15 to 8.30 at the end.
The Nifty-based rally in derivatives today saw the bullish trade soften again. Among the various call-put options in the Nifty 8 December expiry, the Nifty 12,000 call opened at 13.5 against 17.5, fell to 19 at the top and ended at 20.8 at 20.8. The Nifty 12,000 put opened at 105.50 against 120.5, fell to 8.50 and closed at 11.5, ending at 119. The Nifty 12,600 put opened at 7.5 against 20.15, fell to 8.30 and reached 8.30, ending at 8.
Profit booking in IT stocks: HCL, Coforge, TCS, Wipro down: ૬૩ Moons Techno, Siant, Zensar rise
The BSE IT index fell by 206.5 points to close at 31,9.31 on profit-booking of funds in IT-software services stocks today. HCL Technology fell by Rs 30.15 to Rs 2.50, Coforge Ltd. Rs 4.10 down to Rs 4.5, Intellect Design down Rs 2.50 to Rs 3.15, TCS down Rs 21.50 to Rs 2.15, Wipro down Rs 4.5 to Rs 20 30, Infosys fell by Rs 19.10 to Rs 1,100.5, Emphasis fell by Rs 4.5 to Rs 1,612.50. While 3 Moons Technology jumped Rs 4.5 to Rs 4.5, Cient rose Rs 4.5 to Rs 20.05, Zensar Technology rose Rs 12.5 to Rs 4.5, Tata Alexi jumped Rs 4.5. The price of Tanla platforms rose by Rs 2.15 to Rs 211.50.
Nifty December futures fall from 12,05 to 12,9: Bank Nifty futures rise from 8,9 to 7,51
The Nifty December futures opened at 16.05 against 16,09.8, fell to 16.05 at the top and closed at 12.5. The Bank Nifty December futures opened at 8.5.5, fell to 9,31.5, reached 8,040 and closed at 8,51. The Nifty 12,600 call opened at 8.30 against 8.30 and came down to 6.30 at the end of 8.30.
Reliance Industries down Rs 6 to Rs 12: ONGC, Power Grid Corp, Axis Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra down
Among the major losers in the Sensex today, Reliance Industries fell by Rs 4.5 to Rs 12.5, ONGC by Rs 1.50 to Rs 2.50, Axis Bank by Rs 10.50 to Rs 209.10, Mahindra & Mahindra by Rs. Power grid corp was down by Rs 4.50 to Rs 19.50.
Consumer Durables Index jumps 6 points: Blue Star rises Rs 5 to Rs 5: VIP, Voltas, Titan rise
The BSE Consumer Durables Index jumped 4.5 points to close at 8,05 as consumer durables stocks rallied today as Indian companies began to reap huge benefits from the make-in-India India with good demand during the festive season. Blue Star jumped by Rs 4.5 to Rs 4.5, VIP Industries by Rs 19.5 to Rs 21.50, Voltas by Rs 2.10 to Rs 205.50, Bajaj Electricals by Rs 4.5 to Rs. Whirlpool rose by Rs 30.50 to Rs 5,151.50, Titan Company by Rs 20.5 to Rs 19.5.
Auto stocks rise: Cummins jumps Rs 5 to Rs 5: TVS, MRF, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto jump
The downturn in the automobile sector is expected to end soon, with auto stocks rebounding in anticipation of a rapid recovery and the consequent recovery in auto companies. The BSE Auto Index rose by 2.31 points to close at 30,12.5. Cummins India jumped Rs 2.50 to Rs 2.50, Exide Industries rose Rs 11.5 to Rs 12.5, TVS Motor rose Rs 4.5 to Rs 4.5, Tata Motors rose Rs 4.50. Rs 120.5, Ashok Leyland Rs 2.50, Rs 2.10, Motherson Sumi Rs 2.50, Rs 12.5, Hero MotoCorp Rs 21.5, Rs 2105.5, MRF Rs Bajaj Auto rose by Rs 4.5 to Rs 915.50, Maruti Suzuki by Rs 4.5 to Rs 206.50.
Healthcare stocks rise: Suven Pharma, Laurus Lab., P&G, Cadila Healthcare, FDC, JB Chemicals, Aarti Drugs rise
The BSE Healthcare Index rose by 12.5 points to close at 30,319.8 on the back of continued fund selection in shares of healthcare-pharmaceuticals companies. Weekend in small, mid-cap stocks over the weekend: 16 stocks closed positive: Only buyers circuit in 6 stocks
At the end of the week, funds, players and investors were more broad-based than small, mid-cap and cash stocks. Out of the total 6 scrips traded on the BSE, the number of gainers was 16 and the number of losers was 1061. Today, the only seller in 14 stocks was the lower circuit against the bullish circuit of only buyers in 9 stocks.
