In 2020, China got the most FDI in the world, surpassing the United States

By 2020, China is set to overtake the United States as the world's largest recipient of foreign direct investment (FDI). The spread of corona slowed down FDI inflows in most countries of the world.

Last calendar year, China received ૬૩ 16 billion in FDI, compared to અમેરિકા 16 billion in the United States. According to a list from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, FDI inflows into India grew by 12 per cent to ૫૭ 4 billion during the year.

Out of the total FDI inflows by 2020, 8 per cent were in developed countries and 21 per cent in East Asian countries, the list said. The rise in FDI indicates that the attraction to China has not diminished, with countries around the world blaming China for the spread of the corona and seeking an alternative to China for trade.
