Peanut oil and cottonseed oil prices rose again


(Gujarat News Office) MUMBAI: Prices of various edible oils remained soft in the Mumbai oilseeds market today. New demand was slow. On the Gujarat, Saurashtra side, traders were waiting for a clear picture of the impact of the recent heavy rains on various crops. According to experts, the new season is likely to be delayed due to heavy rains. In the Mumbai spot market, the price of 10 kg of cingulum oil was Rs 15 to Rs 150 today.

Cottonseed oil was at Rs 1,210. The prices of cingulum oil were revised upwards by Rs 150 to Rs 150 and Rs 50 to Rs 50 per 15 kg, while the prices of cotton washed were quoted at Rs 150 to Rs 12 per quintal. Meanwhile, in the Mumbai market today, the price of mustard oil was quoted at Rs 140, while refined prices fell to Rs 150. Imported palm oil prices fell to Rs 1,405. The new laparos were wings.

Crude palm oil CPO Kandla was down by Rs 115. In the futures market, the CPO price this evening ranged from Rs 1,115 to Rs 1,115 in September. Soyoil futures were quoted at Rs 19 for September and Rs 1,315 to Rs 1,315 for October futures. Soyoil and soybean futures were trading significantly lower in October compared to September. On the Madhya Pradesh side, there was news of new soybean arrivals.

In the Mumbai spot market today, soyoil prices fell to Rs 1,200 for digam and Rs 19 for ref, while sunflower was priced at Rs 1,310 and Rs 150 for ref. Coparel's eyebrows were priced at Rs 120 per 10 kg and rice bran at Rs 150. However, the spot price of castor oil today fell to Rs 15-16 per kg, while the spot price of castor in Mumbai today fell by Rs 3 to Rs 5 per kg. However, castor's October futures were quoted at Rs 7 this evening.

Meanwhile, in the Mumbai flour market, the price of a tonne of castor flour rose by Rs 200 to Rs 30 today, while the price of soymeal jumped by Rs 1,100 to Rs 3,000 and was hovering around Rs 8-90. The others, however, were quiet. In the world market, palm oil futures in Malaysia rose by 3, 6, 7 and 8 points today.

At Mundra-Hazira, prices of various deliveries were quoted at Rs 1,507 to Rs 1,315 for palm oil, Rs 15 to Rs 12 for soyoil and Rs 12 for sunflower. Soybean revenue in Madhya Pradesh today was about 20,000 times that of new malo. There were 300 to 400 new malls. Total palm oil exports from Malaysia were projected to increase by 6 to 21 per cent in 15 days.

Prices of sunflower at Navi Mumbai port ranged from Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,210. Soybean prices rose in overnight trade in the US. When soymeal prices fell. Soyoil prices were up. Cotton prices also rose. In today's projection, soyoil prices were quoted 4 to 5 points higher in the evening.
