The number of new investors in BSE has crossed 8 crore

AHMEDABAD: More and more people are turning to the stock market at risk due to abundant liquidity, declining sources of income and lower interest rates than inflation. Investors are entering the stock market in record form due to the boom seen in the stock market after the lockdown in the Corona era.

According to the Bombay Stock Exchange, 4.5 new investors are registering on the exchange daily in a year. Today, the number of new investors on the BSE crossed eight crore.

About two crore new investors have joined the BSE in just nine months, the exchange said today. Similarly, the registration of new customers on the National Stock Exchange is also increasing. I have added 12.5 lakh new customers in 2021 as against only 2.5 lakh new customers in June 2020.

The share of retail investors in total cash turnover on the NSE rose from 5 per cent in 2015-16 to 8 per cent in 2020-21.
