US blacklisted 28 companies, including China's 8 surveillance technology
New York, Ta. 08 October 2019, Tuesday
Just before the trade talks between the US and China resumed, US President Donald Trump again took Chinese buffalo companies and public tech companies to China's surveillance companies and public tech companies for human rights violations in China's Xinjiang province.
The Trump government has blacklisted eight technology giants over human rights-human rights violations against Muslim minorities in China. Among these companies are two video surveillance companies, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co. (Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co.) and Zhejiang Dahua Technology (Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co.), which both hold a third of the world's video surveillance and camera market worldwide. Also in the companies blacklisted by the Trump government are SenseTime Group Ltd., the world's most valuable Artificial Intelligence startup, as well as AI giant Magwi Technology Ltd., an IPO for the Hong Kong primary market. Has a plan. Along with Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, the two companies are at the forefront of their ambition to dominate China's Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the coming years.
Washington is preparing for a high-level negotiation between the United States and China on Thursday, the only time the Trump administration has taken such a big step after US markets closed. Trump's tariff war against Beijing goes against theft of intelligence technology and control of technology as well as China's expanding industry policy.
Despite the list of companies prohibited from doing business with American companies without a license by the US government, some companies have maintained business relationships with these banned companies through their international subsidiaries. Hikvision and Dahua have been suspended from the field on Tuesday.
It is worth mentioning that in the past, the US placed Huawei Technologies Co. a blacklist on the issue of national security.
