The Sensex 41401 and the Nifty reached 12182

BSE Sensex closed a new record high today, with the BSE Sensex reaching a record high of intraday 41401 and NSE Nifty 12182 on the back of new buys led by foreign investors following reports of trade-deals between the US and China.

Globally, the trend toward rapid improvement in the global markets, with the hope of accelerating trade momentum globally, is expected in the days following the completion of the first phase of trade agreements between the US and China. At the GST Council meeting tomorrow, there was optimism that the government would take precautionary measures to boost the economy.

Following the above reports, the Sensex intraday jumped to a record high of 41401.65 and Nifty12182.75, following a sharp improvement in the market following fresh take-off from overseas investors led by foreign investors.

The Sensex closed 413.45 points higher at 41352.17 and the Nifty 111.05 points closed at a new record high of 12165 at the end of the day.

In the wake of the rapid recovery in the Sensex, investors' wealth (VSE market cap) today stood at Rs. 1.23 lakh crore with an increase of Rs. 154.28 lakh crore. Foreign investors invested Rs. A new take on 1248 crore was undertaken. On the other hand, by local bodies today, Rs. 908 crore had a selling hand.
