Imports of decanted coconut powder were restrained

The government today decided to control the import of decapitated copra-coconut powder in India. The moisture is removed to make such copra-coconut powder more durable and such powder is known as dessicated coconut powder. There are reports that import of such powder can now be imported to CIF value powder of Rs 5 or more per kg and banning the import of such low value powder.
