Rupee rises against dollar in currency market

The rupee, which had been depreciating against the dollar for the past two days, came to a standstill today. However, the dollar index rose against various major currencies in world markets today. At the time of writing, the market was watching the signs of inflation, interest rates and bond buying in the United States. Despite the bearish move in the Mumbai Stock Exchange, some sections of the market were surprised as the rupee appreciated against the dollar in the currency market today.

Meanwhile, in the Mumbai currency market, the dollar touched a low of Rs 6.51 against the dollar in the morning trade of Rs 6.5 against the dollar in the morning. Were living.

The dollar had lost 10 paise overall today. However, in the global market, the dollar index, which was 2.7, was at a low of 7.50 today and a high of 6.5 to 7.5. The global dollar index rose 0.04 per cent today.

The British pound opened at Rs 109.50 today and closed at Rs 105.10, a high of Rs 103.5 and a low of Rs 106.10. The pound gained 50 paise against the rupee today and crossed the Rs 102 level again.

The European currency, the euro, also gained 19 paise against the rupee today. The euro opened at Rs 4.5 in the morning with a price of Rs 4.5 and closed at Rs 4.05, a high of Rs 4.5 and a low of Rs 4.5.

Japan's yen closed 0.15 per cent lower against the rupee at the end of the day. However, Chinese currency, however, rose 0.10 per cent to close at the end of the day against the rupee, currency market sources said.
