The rupee rose against the dollar in a bullish currency market
(Gujarat News Office) MUMBAI: The rupee weakened against the dollar in early trade today. The rupee had strengthened against the dollar in early trade today on the back of a sharp rise in the stock market, market analysts said.
News of a weakening dollar against various major currencies in the world market was also reflected in the domestic currency market today. Meanwhile, according to world market news, central banks of various countries have recently increased their purchases in Chinese currency yuan and the foreign exchange reserves held by these central banks have shown signs of increasing the value of Chinese currency.
Meanwhile, in the Mumbai currency market, the dollar opened at Rs 6.5 against the rupee in the morning today, closing lower at Rs 4.5 and higher at Rs 4.5. The dollar had lost 12 paise overall today.
Meanwhile, in global markets, the dollar's index was at a high of 7.5 today and was at a low of 7.8 and a low of 7.81. The dollar index was down 0.1 percent today.
Meanwhile, the British pound rose sharply against the dollar as the dollar depreciated against the dollar today.

The market was watching the ECB meeting. Meanwhile, the Japanese yen depreciated 0.50 per cent against the rupee at the end of the day. As the Corona infestation increased in Japan, there were indications of cloud cover over the Olympics. However, Chinese currency prices closed higher at 0.08 per cent today against the rupee, currency market sources said.
