The dollar fell below Rs 74 intra-day


(Gujarat News Office) MUMBAI: The dollar fell below Rs 5 at one point in the day as the rupee continued to depreciate against the rupee in the Mumbai currency market today. There was also news that the dollar index landed in the world market.

In the Mumbai market, the dollar opened at Rs 4.5 today and opened at Rs 4.5, then touched a low of Rs 4.5 and then closed at Rs 4.05. The dollar fell 3 paise today.

The rupee also appreciated against the dollar on the back of a rebound in the Bombay Stock Exchange today, market sources said. Meanwhile, in the global market today, the dollar index was at a high of 7.5 and a low of 7.81 and a low of 7.8, indicating a decline of 0.04 per cent.

Meanwhile, the British pound depreciated by 18 paise to close at Rs 100 and traded at Rs 4.5 to Rs 6.5 against the rupee today, while the European currency, the euro, fell by 3 paise to Rs 7.5 to Rs 7.5 against the rupee today.

The Japanese rupee had lost 0.04 per cent against the rupee in the previous session. China's currency was down 0.02 percent.
