Toothpastes containing fluoride, calcium and triclosan have been shown to be effective in tooth decay, tooth strengthening, and dental diseases. Fluoride also hardens the surface layer of the teeth. It also helps in reducing tooth decay.

Fluoride :- The fluoride content in fluoride toothpaste is about (05 to 01-mg). Also, as much fluorine salt is added to public drinking water supplies (1.mg).

Which helps in reducing dental diseases effectively. It has proved especially useful for children's teeth.

Fluoridating compounds are used in toothpaste and dentifrice as well as drinking water. If there is a little more (1-0 to 2-0 mg g/1 liter), soluble fluoride in drinking water, spots, spots on the surface of the teeth will be eroded. Along with natural shine, tooth luster, and teeth become chocolate white, brown, yellow or black.

Calcium :- Calcium is a stable, common, dispersed material which is a natural substance. Calcium increases the strength of teeth. It also helps to harden the gums. Calcium strengthens the bones of the teeth.

Derivation :- Natural material is made available from mines.- Precipitated is made synthetically.

Uses :- Tooth paste, tooth powder, source of lime, white-wash, putty, plastic, filler in rubber, paint, paper, antacid etc.

Triclosan :- p-Chloro-2-(2,4-dichlorophenoxy), the phenol triclosan destroys tooth decay permanently. Also relieves toothache. Helps in controlling the growth of bugs.

Tooth paste :- Fluoride, calcium and triclosan base raw chemicals of tooth paste. Cleansing and policing materials - Detergent and foaming materials, - Humectants - Binding agents, - Sweetening and flavoring materials, - Tooth whitening agents, - Desensitizing agents, - Preservatives etc.

- Key ingredients used to make tooth paste : Calcium Carbonate, Fluoride Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, Sorbitol, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Saccharin, Propylene Glycol, Triclosan, Peppermint or Clove Oil, Methyl Propyl Paraben, Sodium Perborate, Strontium Chloride - 6- With Hydrate Fluoride, calcium and triclosan base toothpastes can be made.

- License :- The license under the Industries Act and clearance from Food and Drug Authorities is required.
