Mutual fund sector adds new 6 lakh folios in October

Mutual fund sector has added a new six lakh investor accounts (folio) to the mutual fund sector during the last October. Which is the largest increase in the last three months.

Over the past six months, the stock market has witnessed a huge uptick in terms of local as well as global factors. Investors are turning to MF for the purpose of securing investment in these circumstances. Thus, as more and more investors turn to the fund, the number of folios in this sector has increased significantly.

According to data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India, the fund sector added 1 lakh new folios in October. It had previously added 5,8 folios last September, 5,8,8 in August and 5 million folios in July.

With the addition of new folios constantly in the fund sector, the total folios of 6 fund houses in the country have risen to 6,3,4 at the end of October. That was 6,7,8 at the end of September. Thus, in October, the new 1,3,4 folios have been added.

At the end of October, the portfolio of Equity and Equity Link Savings schemes increased by 5,3,4 million to 1.8 million. While the Folio of debt scrips increased by 5,7,8.5 million. In the last October, the fund sector has increased to Rs. 1.8 trillion was funded. In September, Rs. 1.6 trillion was withdrawn.
