Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, the world's leading IT company, has been selected as the top business leader of 2019. Satya Nadella is at the top of Fortune's Business Person of the Year 2019 list.

Other executives are of Indian origin, including Master Card CEO Ajay Bagga and Arista President Jayashree Ulal.

Fortune announces list of the top 20 business leaders in the world's leading business magazine Fortune every year. It involves corporate executives seeking big goals and finding creative solutions to impossible challenges.

At the top of the list, sat Satya Nadella, took over the management of Microsoft in 2014.

Fortune said that in a year filled with political turmoil, the brand is sustaining Microsoft. It has a major role in leadership. In the world of business, this brand has won our hearts.

There is no other fanatic, team-based leadership ability, and corporate executive who results in more than our number one business.

Fortune said that computer scientist Satya Nadella has never worked in the finance sector and has not pursued a position as CEO. In the last five years, he has bridged this gap completely. The key to his success lies in leadership ability.

Nadella's triumvirate is a major contribution. That includes Chairman Brad Smith who looks into policy and legal matters. Chief finance officer Amy Hood and chief PRO Kathleen Hogan.

MUMBAI: Brokerage firms and fintech companies have objected to market regulator SEBI's discussion paper considering all stock trading orders issued through Application Programming Interface (API) as separate trading, saying it could adversely affect the growth of such trading from India. Algo trading is considered to be an automatic buying-selling system based on algorithms. SEBI has recently said in a discussion paper that it would create a framework for regulating Algo trading by retail investors. A senior official of a brokerage firm said that monitoring of Algo trading is a need of the hour, but such an attempt could hamper the growth of Sebi Algo trading. He added that if the suggestions made in the SEBI discussion paper were implemented, it would be difficult for brokers to make the API available.
