Corona threatens to push 40 million people into poverty in India, threatens global employment

According to a warning from the United Nations Department of Labor, about 40 million people working in the informal sector in India due to the corona virus will be pushed into poverty and it is estimated that 19.5 million jobs worldwide are in danger this year.

2 billion people in the informal sector
According to a report, two billion people worldwide are in the informal sector business. Most of which are in emerging and developing economies and are currently in critical crisis. The report says that millions of workers in the area were harassed just before the outbreak of the Corona virus.

The crisis of pushing 40 million workers into poverty in India
Lockdown and other control measures have affected a large number of informal sector economies in India, Nigeria and Brazil. In India, 90 per cent of the people working in such field are. Out of which about 40 million Indians could be threatened with poverty.
