The new premium of life insurance companies increased by 3%

However, Life Insurance Corporation of India (NIMB) 's new business premium has declined by 7.5 per cent during the period, compared to the same period last year, while the share of private sector insurers has increased by 31 per cent this month.
ન The new premium business of private sector insurers was Rs 2,6.5 crore in August, 2021, while it was Rs 9,8.5 crore in August, 2020 and Rs 2,50.5 crore in August, 2015. LIC's NBP, on the other hand, stood at Rs 12,60.5 crore in August, 2018. Among the leading private insurers, HDFC Life's NBP declined by 9 per cent.
