Big jump in edible oil futures

In the Mumbai oil-seeds market, prices of various indigenous and imported food items continued to fluctuate. World market news was showing a decline. The futures market, however, was seen late today. In the spot market in Mumbai today, there was a price of Rs 5 per liter of hawala resale and Rs 6 of JNPT.

About 5 to 8 tonnes were traded in the range of Rs 1 to 3 while refineries were getting marketed at buyback today at Rs 5.

Meanwhile, import costs are still rising at this price. In the Mumbai market, prices of crude palm oil CPO Kandla remained at Rs. 7 while in the futures market CPO price was Rs. 1 and lower was of Rs. Meanwhile, futures prices soared today to Rs 1.8 in the high and 0.3 in the evening.
