Diesel price rises again after 4 days break, find out today's price

Inflation has hit the common man once again, with diesel and petrol prices rebounding on Sunday after a break in diesel and petrol prices for four consecutive days. However, no change has been made in the price of petrol.

According to oil companies, diesel price has been hiked by 16 paise per liter in Delhi. With this, the price of a liter of diesel in Delhi has gone up to Rs 80.94. On Sunday, petrol remained unchanged at Rs 80.43 per liter for the last five days.

According to Indian Oil, petrol in Mumbai costs Rs 87.19 per liter. So, the price of diesel has gone up by 12 paise to Rs 79.17 per liter. In June, petrol became costlier by Rs 9.17 per liter and diesel by Rs 11.23 per liter.

In Kolkata, petrol is being sold at Rs 82.10 per liter on Sunday, while diesel has gone up by 16 paise to Rs 76.05 per liter. Apart from this, petrol in Chennai is priced at Rs 83.63 per liter, while diesel has gone up by 10 paise to Rs 78.01 per liter.

Significantly, crude oil prices have been softening in the international market, while petrol and diesel prices have continued to rise in the domestic market.

At present, the price of Indian basket crude oil is around 40 40 per barrel. State governments set different VAT rates on diesel and petrol, leading to different prices.
