Gold advance: Silver lost Rs.67,000


Mumbai: Gold and silver prices went up in Mumbai jewelery market today. The world market news, however, showed biased volatility on the upside. Meanwhile, gold prices in the Mumbai market today were Rs 56,374 at Rs 56,300 at 99.50 and Rs 56,601 at Rs 56,500 at 99.90 without GST. While Mumbai silver prices were Rs.65700 without GST at Rs.65760. In Mumbai gold and silver prices including GST were 3 percent higher than this price.

Meanwhile, market insiders were saying today that an average of 340 tonnes of gold is smuggled into India every year.
