Following in the footsteps of Twitter owner Elon Musk, Facebook has now introduced a verified subscription service for its customers. Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg announced that soon Facebook customers will have to pay Facebook for the Blue Tick service.

Mark Zuckerberg informed about the subscription service through a Facebook post. That said, this week we're launching MetaVerified, a subscription service that will allow you to verify your account with a government ID. According to Zuckerberg, customers will now be able to get a Blue Badge (Blue Tick), protection against fake accounts with identical IDs and direct access to customer support. He said that this new feature is meant to increase authentication security in Facebook's services.
How much to pay for Facebook's Blue Tick feature?
According to Zuckerberg, users will have to pay $11.99 (Rs 992.36) per month for web-based Verified and $14.99 (Rs 1240.65) per month for the service on iOS. He said the first Meta Verified subscription service will be launched this week for Australia and New Zealand. He said that soon this service will start for other countries also.
This is a more expensive subscription than Twitter
After acquiring Twitter, Elon Musk introduced the verified subscription service as a reformist move to the company. Twitter has different fees for Blue subscription service in different countries. Twitter's Blue Tick can usually be obtained by spending 900 rupees in India. Similarly, the two rates that Zuckerberg has recently given for his service are more than Rs 900.
