Many questions are expected to be answered against the government in Amrit Kaal
- In 2022, 2.25 lakh people renounced their citizenship and left India
- India slips from 101st to 107th position out of 123 countries in Global Hunger Index 2022
- There are 1.17 lakh schools in India with only one teacher each
As we are in the amrit period, the current government has many questions that the common people keep asking me and expect to get answers to.
1. No matter the state of development, the government believes that India has high levels of poverty, right? What is the percentage of poor in the country? If the bottom 50 percent of the country's population owns only 3 percent of the country's total wealth, can they not be considered poor? Does the government agree with the Global Multidimensional Poverty Index which indicates that 16 percent (22.40 crore) people of India are poor? Whatever the percentage, why is the government not having any discussion for the poor? Why did the finance minister use the word poor only twice in his budget speech on 1st February 2023?
Employment and food
2. Does the government believe that there is massive unemployment in the country? India's labor force is 47.50 crores and the percentage of people working or looking for work is 48 percent, is it true? Why is the rest of the labor force i.e. about 25 crore people not working or unable to find work? Does the government agree with CMIE's assumption that the unemployment rate is 7.50 percent? And finally why was the word unemployment not mentioned even once in the entire budget speech?
3. Does the government have a figure for how many people are starving in India? Is the government aware that India has slipped from 101st to 107th place in the list of 123 countries in Global Hunger Index 2022? Is the government aware that 57 percent of women in the country are sick and 36 percent of children are stunted?
Will the government agree that malnutrition or inadequate food is the cause of sickness, stunting and weakness in children? Will the government explain why the budget allocation of the next financial year for nutrition (mid-day meal scheme) has been reduced by Rs 1200 crore compared to the current year? Can the government also explain why the massive reduction of Rs 80,000 crore in food subsidy was made?
4. Does the government have an answer as to why the fertilizer subsidy was cut by Rs 60,000 crore in the budget for the next financial year? Will not the cost of production of fertilizers and agricultural products increase? As a result of this, the price of food grains will not increase? And won't the poor be deprived of food if the price goes up?
Vacant posts
5. Is it true that there are 1.17 lakh schools in India with only one teacher each? And of these, approximately 16 percent or 16,630 are in Madhya Pradesh alone, right? How can a single teacher teach five classes of primary school students, the government will give an understanding right? Why are not more teachers appointed in these schools? Can't find suitable teachers or the government doesn't have money to pay for them? There is also the question of what kind of education the students are getting in these schools.
6. Is it true that thousands of young men, and now young women too, want to join the armed forces or the Central Armed Police Forces? Is the government aware that there are 84405 vacancies in the Central Armed Police Forces? Why is the recruitment process not continuous in Central Armed Police Forces, so that the vacant posts can be filled immediately and suitable candidates can be employed. Is the government aware that many people who want to join the Central Armed Police Forces come from poor homes?
7. Is it true that out of 8153 sanctioned posts of teachers in India's 23 IITs, 3253 are vacant? Is it also true that 6180 teaching posts are vacant in 55 central universities?
Since the central government has control over IITs and central universities, why is there no recruitment in these educational institutions? Can't find suitable teachers or the government doesn't have money to pay for them?
Exit to Amrit Kaal
8. Is it true that more than one lakh people have renounced their citizenship every year in the last nine years? Is it also true that 2.25 lakh people are leaving India in 2022? Has the government investigated why so many people are leaving the country?
It is believed that the doors of joy and happiness will be opened in Amrit Kaal. If these questions are answered, a window of opportunity will open for millions of people in the country and they may not get happiness or peace but they will get food and employment. Expect answers.
