The IFSC code of Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank branches will be changed from March 1. Both these banks have been merged into Bank of Baroda. In such a situation, the account numbers, passbooks and checks of the account holders of these banks have also changed. About three lakh account holders will be affected. Currently, the IFSC code of these branches will be in operation till the last day of February. The bank has informed all the customers through SMS.
Although Vijaya and Dena Bank merged in Bank of Baroda, these banks have about 17 branches in 7 talukas of Gorakhpur area, these branches were working on software called Phenykal-7, after merger with Bank of India now this bank to work on Phenykal-10 software. Felt.
Since then, Bank of Baroda officials have started tampering with the IFSC codes of Vijaya and Dena Bank branches. Earlier, the bank had informed all the account holders of these branches via SMS.
Sanjay Singh, Deputy Regional Manager, Gorakhpur Regional Office, Bank of Baroda, said that the IFSC code of Vijaya and Dena Bank branches located in different districts of Bank of Baroda Gorakhpur region will be changed from March 1. In such a case, the account holders of these branches have to provide information about the new IFSC code to their paying institutions. So as not to cause any kind of problem. The old IFSC code will work until the last day of February.
