The stock market is at a new high, with the Sensex close at 49,000 and the Nifty at 14,367 points

The stock market closed at a new high today after a bumper rally. When the Sensex approached 49,000 for the first time, the Nifty also peaked at 14,367. The Sensex was at an all-time high of 48,854 today. The 30-stock BSE Sensex closed 689.19 points higher at 48,782.51 on Friday. So, the National Stock Exchange also saw a glowing rally and the Nifty jumped 209.90 points to close at 14,347.25.

Whether it is Nifty 50 or Small Cap, Mid Cap or Nifty 500, all the indices closed at the green mark. On the other hand, apart from Nifty Metal and PSU Bank, Nifty Auto, Nifty Bank, Private Bank, IT Index, Reality Index, Financial Services, Pharma and Media Index have also seen gains. Auto, media and IT saw gains of more than 3 per cent.

It may be mentioned here that the stock market started with a rally today. The 30-stock BSE benchmark Sensex opened 371.59 points higher at 48,464.91 today and the Nifty started with a red mark.
