Gold and silver prices fell again


MUMBAI: Gold and silver prices rose again today in the Mumbai jewelery market. World market news was booming. In the global market, rising bonds and treasury yields were news of rising fund sales.

Gold prices in the world market fell from ૭૫૯ 15 to ૭૬ 150 an ounce and today it was reported to be ૭૪૮ 16 to ૭૫૩ 16 an ounce. Behind gold, global silver also traded lower at ૩૨ 6.5 an ounce from ૪૯ 7.5 an ounce to ૩૨ 4.5 an ounce.

In Ahmedabad jewelery market, silver fell by Rs 200 per kg to Rs 31,500 today. However, Ahmedabad gold prices fell by Rs 1,000 per 10 grams to Rs 900 from Rs 2.50 and Rs 2,000 from Rs 7.50 per ounce today.

Crude oil prices in the world market today led to a slow recovery. However, market players kept an eye on the OPEC meeting of crude-producing countries. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in New York, was trading at ૬૫ 6.5 a barrel, up 6.8 a barrel, while Brent crude was trading at ૮ 4.51 a barrel.

In the Mumbai jewelery market, gold today closed at Rs 305, excluding GST, at Rs 500, Rs 8.50, and Rs 8, 7.50, excluding GST. Mumbai silver prices were at Rs 8 today after Rs 30,311 without GST.
