It turns out that more than fifty percent of companies did not comply with CSR standards

Mumbai, Ta. August 17, 2019, Saturday

Although the government has dropped its proposal to take stringent action against the company and its managers who do not adhere to the company's Social Responsibility (CSR) norms, but the data obtained shows that more than fifty percent of the companies do not fulfill their CSR obligations.

More than fifty percent of companies appear to have failed to comply with the norm since the Companies Act was amended by the Act.

A total of 3 companies in the country are eligible for CSR liability. There has been a general argument on behalf of companies that they could not spend their money under CSR if they did not find the right project. However, this is not the case for organizations and individuals working in the social sector in the country.

Usually companies are willing to spend money on development or social operations in the same area where they operate.

Last year, Rs 3 crore was spent under CSR and most of the money was spent on education and health.
