According to the report, states received Rs 26,962 crore from GST, Rs 17,895 crore from VAT, Rs 13,785 crore from excise duty, Rs 11,397 crore from stamp and registration duty, Rs 6,055 crore from vehicle tax, Rs 6,055 crore from vehicle tax, Rs 174,95 crore from tax and Rs 3,464 crore from duty. done. It said economic activity would not return to normal by the second quarter, even after the lockdown ends next week.
The states most affected by the lockdown are those that have a higher share of revenues from their own sources. Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Telangana earn 65-76 per cent from their own sources. Gujarat is at the top with 76 per cent, so it will suffer the most. Telangana earns 75.6 per cent, Haryana 74.7 per cent, Karnataka 71.4 per cent, Tamil Nadu 70.4 per cent, Maharashtra 69.8 per cent, Kerala 669.6 per cent and Goa 66.9 per cent.
