Will Amazon be able to stop Reliance's deal? Reliance in trouble with Future Group

-Based on the decision of the International Arbitration Center of Singapore

Amazon was reportedly preparing to block a deal to buy Mukesh Ambani's Reliance for Rs 24,700 crore from Future Group's retail business. For this, Amazon hired a legitimate company like AZB. The law firm will file a complaint with the International Arbitration Center in Singapore.

It was further argued that the agreement reached when Amazon invested in Future Group in 2019 stipulated that the partner would have the right to the right to first refusal as well as the first right to deal with the other party. Amazon also mentioned Reliance in the case.

According to sources, when Future Group struck a deal with Amazon, it made it a condition that Future Group would not deal with any big business in the retail sector in the future. Now, if Future Group deals with Reliance, Amazon will consider it a breach of its agreement. Business experts believe that Reliance's deal with Future Group could be in jeopardy if the International Arbitration Center grants Amazon the right to seek compensation from Future Group for breach of contract.
