Sudden change of CEO in TCS surprised
Suddenly as the CEO of TCS K. Kritivasan's appointment has come as a surprise. When Rajesh Gopinathan completed six years as the CEO of the company, it was announced that his tenure would be extended till 2027, but within two months, the company suddenly changed its mind and asked Gopinathan to resign. Kritivasan has been with TCS for 34 years.
Gopinathan was not dispatched. It is believed that Gopinathan will get a new important role in the Tata Group itself, given that Gopinathan has to stay with the company for another six months, i.e. till September 15, 2023, to help Kritivasan. Gopinathan has also been with TCS for 22 years and was Managing Director and CEO for the last 6 years.
New Chairman in LIC
LIC Chairman Mangalam Ramasubramaniam Kumar alias MRK has not been extended by the Modi government. In his place, Siddharth Mohanty has been made the new chairman of Jeevan Bima Nigam i.e. LIC. Siddharth is currently the Managing Director and CEO of LIC Housing Finance. Siddharth has been given the additional charge of LIC Chairman for 3 months from March 14.
Mangalam Ramasubramaniam aka M. R. Kumar was made the chairman of LIC in 2019 and got two extensions. This time the extension was scheduled for the third time but with the LIC in the Adani Group under suspicion due to the allegations of the American short seller Hindenburg Research, the government has sent Kumar to defend himself.
