Sensex jumped 446 points to 58075


Mumbai: Funds rose again today on the back of recovery in global markets. As a result of the collapse of 11 banks in the last 11 days in America, Europe, after the big crisis created behind the shares of banking and finance companies in the global stock markets, investors bet to withdraw their investments due to this whirlwind, with the big upheaval in the bond market. Banking stocks led the rally as foreign funds short covered and local funds bought heavily. In the European markets, Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank, etc. led by the stocks of the banks rose, with the recovery in the American markets yesterday, the markets of the Asian countries showed a rapid improvement today. After the improvement of 382 points of Dow Jones in the American markets, there was a universal boom in the markets of Asia and Europe today. Banking, finance stocks along with consumer durables, capital goods stocks saw the Sensex touch the 58,000 level again, rising by 445.73 points to 58,074.68 and the Nifty spot by 119.10 points to 17,107.50.

Reliance bounces back from 52-week low at Jeffery's target of Rs 3,100: up by Rs 68 to Rs 2,270

Shares of Reliance Industries rebounded from its 52-week low of Rs 2,180, gaining Rs 68.45 to Rs 2,269.70 amid valuing buying reports by funds, broking houses. Valuing has indicated a target of Rs 3,100 for the stock with foreign broking giant Jeffery citing the company's new business.

Consumer index rises 587 points: CG Consumer, Havells, Titan, Bajaj Electrical rise

The BSE Consumer Durables Index jumped 587.81 points to close at 38062.89 as funds rose again in the stocks of consumer durables companies today. CG Consumer increased by Rs.11 to Rs.292.15, Havells India increased by Rs.28.15 to Rs.1200.50, Titan Company increased by Rs.52.85 to Rs.2514, Aditya Birla Fashion increased by Rs.2.20 to Rs.217 .80, Whirlpool rose by Rs.9.90 to Rs.1342.05.

Widespread valuing of funds on reduced attractiveness in small, mid-cap stocks: 1978 stocks close positive

Market breadth turned from negative to positive as Sensex, Nifty based bullish with small, mid cap, funds in cash stocks, high net worth investors again becoming buyers due to improvement in global markets.
