China's investment in more than 1,600 Indian companies is worth billions of dollars

More than 1,600 companies in the country have received over અ 1 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) from China between April 2016 and March 2020 in the last five years. The details were given in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. Start-ups have been heavily invested by Chinese agencies.

Between April 2016 and March 2020, more than 1,600 companies received 2 102.25 million (1. 1.02 billion) in foreign direct investment from China. These companies were in 46 regions. Of this, the automobile industry, book printing, electronics, services and electrical equipment received over $ 100 million in FDI from China during the period.
