A thousand acres of free land to Vedanta Group in Gujarat?
Vedanta Group's decision to set up a semiconductor manufacturing plant in Gujarat instead of Maharashtra has been heavily debated. It was decided that Vedanta-Foxphone's 1.50 lakh crore plant would be set up in Maharashtra, but Vedanta suddenly announced an agreement with the Gujarat government to set up the plant in Gujarat.
Vedanta Chairman Anil Aggarwal has explained why he took this decision. According to Agarwal, Vedanta Group wanted 1000 acres of land for the plant for free. There was a demand to get water and electricity at low rates.
The gist of what Agarwal said is that the government in Gujarat was ready to give land for free while the Maharashtra government was not ready for it.
Is this true?

Twitter has been buzzing around Musk
Musk's troubles have increased after Twitter's shareholders approved a deal made by Elon Musk to buy Twitter for $44 billion (about Rs. 3.50 lakh crore). Telecom companies don't even meet TRAI
Telecom Authority of India (TRAI) had asked telecom companies to give plans of one month and its multiples instead of 28 days, but most of the telecom companies have ignored TRAI. Not surprisingly, TRAI has launched some plans with a validity of one month, but the old 28-day plans are still in circulation. TRAI has also relaxed its stance by asking companies to declare at least one plan with a validity of one month.
According to experts, it is difficult to understand what is the problem with telecom companies announcing plans with monthly validity. Companies seem to be treating this issue as a question of ego.
