A traditional symbol of Indian woman's good fortune is the forehead veil. A woman's makeup looks incomplete without a beautiful chandla adorning the forehead. In modern times, not only brides, virgin girls also wear Chandal on their foreheads for beautification. No matter how much fashion has progressed, there is no decline in the popularity of Chandla.
Indian Chandla is known by different names like Tika, Potu, Sindoor, Tilak, Talkam, Kumkum, Bindi, Teeli, Tildi, Choi and Bindi, Bindi means black dot, a small dot of soot to prevent a child from catching the evil eye. is done below. This is a practice.
Since ancient times, in Hinduism, women wear a small or large Chandal in the center of the forehead, between the two eyebrows (Bhal region). Chandals were made from sandalwood, kanku, vermilion etc. from ancient times but nowadays many types of Chandals are made.
There is also a change in the types of Chandla. In which natural kumkum, synthetic liquid kumkum, microtip, sindoor sticker, gold and silver foiled, colorful plastic kumkum, velvet made chandla etc. many types of kumkum can be found in the market. These kind of chandeliers make the beauty bloom in a perfect way.
- Method of making Kanku powder: Synthetic method
Maize Starch 100 kg, Food Color Red 2 kg, I.P.A. 3 liters, water 2 liters.
Method :- Prepare liquid by mixing water, IPA and food colour. Mix this liquid with cornstarch, (a ball mill is required for mixing.) After the mixture is complete, screen to ensure that the kanku powder is ready.
- How to make Liquid Kanku :-
Gum alginate 3 kilos, food color 2 kilos, water 95 liters, methyl paraben 200 grams, rose perfumes 100 ml.
Method :- There is a mixing process, proper stirring is necessary.
Color :- Red, Yellow, Blue, Black, Pink, Pink, Magenta, Saffron Vs. Each can be used.
- Velvet bindi :- High quality velvet cloth can be purchased with a good design or gold-silver foil on it, the cloth can be pasted on the pasting release paper, cut with a cutting die and prepared for sale.
Water soluble polyvinyl alcohol can be used to affix gold-silver foil to velvet cloth. Release paper- left base with plasticizer can be found ready.
- Plastic Bindi :- Can be designed by computer, screen printed, pasted on plastic seat on release paper, cut with cutting die and ready for sale.
- Warning :- Use of any type of alkaline gum is prohibited as per the norms of Food and Drug Administration. Because alkaline skin gets scarred. Which cannot be removed soon.
