The company informed about this attack in a blog post on its website on Friday. According to Microsoft, this hacking group is also known as Nobelium, APT29 and Cozy Bear. They hacked some corporate e-mail accounts. The accounts that were hacked belonged to the company's senior leadership team, cyber security team, legal and other employees.

The attack took place in November, reported in January

According to the information, the attack took place in late November 2023 but the company's cyber security team came to know about it on January 12. Microsoft said a security investigation was launched immediately after the cyber attack was reported. Microsoft said the hackers did not steal customer data. He wanted information about himself. He wanted to know what Microsoft knew about it.

Microsoft will change cybersecurity

Microsoft has become more alert after this cyber attack. "We are committed to our latest cybersecurity changes," the company wrote in a blog post. Action will be taken for it at the earliest.
