BharatGPT: Country's first AI model 'Hanuman' will be launched in March, will work in 11 languages


AI Model Hanuman : Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Industries and a group backed by India's top engineering colleges will launch its first ChatGPT-like AI service next month. Backers of the BharatGPT group include India's most valuable company Reliance and an arm of eight affiliated universities. The group previewed its large AI language model during a technology conference in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, a bike mechanic was shown asking questions in Tamil to an AI model while a banker was shown talking to an AI bot in Hindi. Along with this, a developer also wrote the computer code with the help of AI model.

This AI model created with the help of Reliance has been named 'Hanuman'. This AI model will be able to work in 11 local languages. The Hanuman AI model will serve itself by prioritizing four important sectors namely governance, health, education and financial services.

If this model succeeds, it will pave the way for India in the race to develop AI technology. During an event last year, Reliance Jio Infocomm Chairman Mukesh Ambani informed about working with IIT Bombay on a project since 2014. He said that BharatGPT will also be launched with Jio 2.0.
