- Companies were panicked as they started receiving notices of non-deposit of money
In the past, it was common for employees' share of provident fund to be deducted from salary and not deposited. Now that has changed. Every employee can register his provident fund number on the number given to him. Also, he can know how much money has been deposited in his account in the provident fund within two minutes by dialing the number. He can also create his own record based on the amount shown in the message. As a result they can keep a track record of how much money is deposited in their account and when the last salary money was deposited.
However, from the last two months, the companies have started receiving notices that the company is spreading rumors. The notices issued by the Employees Provident Fund Office directly state that you have not deposited the Provident Fund money deducted from the employee's salary. As a result, officials of many companies who have deposited money are forced to rush to the Provident Fund office. When they reach there, the officials only tell them that we have not sent these notices. Notices are autogenerated notices. Then companies breathe a sigh of relief. Otherwise companies have to pay penalty for it. Also, if the word reaches the employees, the reputation of the company is also affected in such a situation. Although the local offices say that O notices are being issued from the Delhi office, we are not even aware of it. But no clarification is given regarding this kind of notice coming in the mail. The Provident Fund office is issuing random notices without any prior verification. In fact, if this notice is auto generated, then the local offices should seek clarification from the Central Ministry of Labor or the Ministry in charge of Provident Fund or from the Central Provident Fund Office to address the concerns of the companies by publishing advertisements in local newspapers.
On the other hand, companies are also getting notices that you are not depositing the correct amount deducted from the salary of the employees under provident fund. The shares being deducted from the employee's salary and the amount deposited by the owner are not the same, the shares are being recorded in the electronic challan cum receipt. As a result, companies are also suffering. In reality, even though the owners of the company are depositing regular provident funds, it is stated in the notice that the people who are depositing regular provident funds.
Some companies have also been mailed stating that the date on which the employee left the job is not properly displayed. They do not enter the date of leaving the job, because the employee leaves without informing the office officials. But in this situation, the employee himself can enter the date of leaving the job by logging in to the website of the Provident Fund office, i.e. by making an entry on their portal.
The government is making efforts for companies to deposit more and more employees in provident fund companies. The government is making efforts to ensure that the employers benefit from the provision of provident fund available to the small employees. The intention behind doing so is to make social security more comprehensive. In this situation, money depositing companies are also being harassed by sending unnecessary emails.
