The mantra of the world's top three CEOs going forward: Friendly with staff
- Experiences of Sriram Krishna who has worked with top three CEOs like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Satya Nadella at various stages
- Some of the qualities and passion of the CEOs of the world's top companies are rarely revealed. These three can be said to be big names in business at the global level. Sriram Krishnan, who worked with him, is currently developing his business as a venture capitalist.
- It is also important here that Elon Musk used to sleep outside the office on the visitors' sofa if he got too late. Same is the case with Zuckerberg. He used to order food from home and spend the night in the office.
Those who work in reputed companies take pride in sharing their experiences. He takes pride in telling people what his boss's personality is, his working style, how he behaves with staff, etc. Everyone who works closely with the boss may have different experiences but the overall impression of the boss is known.
Chennai-based Sriram Krishnan, who has worked with the top three CEOs of Tesla and micro-blogging social network X (Twitter) Elon Musk, Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft's Satya Nadella at various times, said that these three are CEOs of top companies in the world. It is also an honor to work in his company and it is only natural that when Sriram Krishnan, who has worked closely with this billion-dollar CEO, shares his experiences, everyone gets interested in what he has to say.
Some of the traits and passion of the CEOs of the world's top companies rarely come out. These three can be said to be big names in business at the global level. Sriram Krishnan, who worked with him, is currently developing his business as a venture capitalist.
Sriram Krishnan, who grew up in a poor working class family in Chennai, addressed the topic titled What I Learned from Elon and Zuckerberg. He also said that he has worked with Microsoft's Satya Nadella, so he included these three in the address.
Sriram Krishnan, an Indian technologist and then founder of his own venture capital firm, narrated his experiences with the world's top CEOs at the World Government Summit in the UAE.
He very candidly said that since I was a child, I was busy researching computer code. Due to which I chose the career of technology. I developed a curiosity to understand what the little numbers on the computer are and how they come about. I joined Microsoft in 2007. I worked with Satya Nadella in Seattle for a few years before he became CEO.
Then I worked with Facebook's (meta) Mark Zuckerberg. I then worked with Elon Musk, the (X) boss of Twitter at various stages. When he himself moved to Silicon Valley from Chennai, the work culture was different. Everything was new to me. In a conversation with the news media, he said that all CEOs are actually micro managers. He said that when I was with Zuckerberg in 2013, he was meeting with the staff every day and discussing what could be new.
I was new but he liked my ideas and code innovation so he praised me among all and broke my fear of working with the boss.
It is worth mentioning here that Zuckerberg's staff calls him Zook. Zuckerberg gets so engrossed in his work that he doesn't even realize what is going on around him. This is from 2013. Sriram Krishnan says my wife is currently working at Meta, he says Zuckerberg is still the same as he was in 2013 in terms of work.
When Elon Musk bought Twitter, Mr. Ramakrishnan was with him. All of Elon Musk's meetings were held with 25-year-olds and he used to take everyone's ideas and write them down in a notebook. People who work with Elon know that Elon spends most of the day tweeting.
On Zuckerberg's working style, Sriram Krishnan says that the staff used to look at any new project very keenly and try to understand it. He used to put the details of the product on the round table and take the opinion of every staff. He used to augment his team like this. Similarly, Elon Musk was friendly with him to increase his team.
When Elon Musk took charge of Twitter, I was there on the first day, says Sriram Krishnan, adding that Elon Musk said, "Can I upload the video of the podcast to Twitter?" Elon Musk was sticking to the video upload thing. He said why can't I upload a 60 minute video? No one answered. Someone said that Twitter's (now X) limit is 10 minutes.
If there is a ten minute limit, how many minutes of videos can I actually upload? Immediately called uploading engineers. He said that we can upload 42 minutes. Even after a long discussion, Elon Musk asked for an explanation about uploading mind-blowing videos.
Why can't this happen in everything? New discoveries are not the end. That is, there is no need to believe that new research will not come from this, new brains are constantly giving new things to the world.
It is also important here that Elon Musk used to sleep outside the office on the visitors' sofa if he got too late. Same is the case with Zuckerberg. He used to order food from home and spend the night in the office.
Sriram Krishnan clarified one thing that these three CEOs are plain, simple Hasmukhas. Pats the backs of every well-doing staff. They make efforts to maximize the efficiency of the staff. All three have often said that we pay for brains, not physical presence. Zuckerberg always tells staff what new will you give us?
Elon Musk also takes care of staff involved in innovation first then believes in manufacturing.
