Equations have been seen to change in the rupee market and industry sector in the country. The effect of boom in cotton market has also been seen on cotton oil and cotton washed. Recently, the prices of cotton washed in Saurashtra markets had stopped falling and there was a rapid rise, and due to this, the prices of edible oils, especially cottonseed oil, were seen going up in the markets of Mumbai and other cities of the country. Sources of the Cotton Association of India said that the new season of rupees has started in the country from the month of October 2023 and in the period of the first four months till January of the new season 2023-24, there has been a significant increase in the demand of rupees at home. During this four-month period, demand for rupees in the country increased by 18 to 19 percent and reached the level of 110 lakh bales (one of 170 kg). Last year in this period of 2022-23 season, such demand was recorded around 92 to 93 lakh bales. In the quarter of October to December, such demand increased by 20 percent to about 81 lakh bales, which was about 65 lakh bales in this quarter of 2022. Mills were in losses in the first quarter of last year's season whereas in the first quarter of the current season the mills turned a profit, the production capacity utilization has increased in the mills and this has had a positive effect on the demand in the rupee market. The market price of rupee rose recently to Rs. A nine-month peak of 60,000 was seen in the market.

The informants were showing the possibility of about 294 lakh bales of new cash crop in the country in the current season of 2023-24. In the previous season of 2022-23, the wool crop in the country was around 319 lakh bales. Thus, this year there is a decline in the production of rupees at home. When the new season of 2023-24 started in October, the previous season's cash stock of wool in the country was about 29 lakh bales. In addition to this silver stock and new crop, the total amount of rupee imports estimated during the year is about 21 to 22 lakh bales, then the total domestic supply of rupees in the season of 2023-24 is estimated to be about 345 lakh bales. Which was shown at 355 to 356 lakh bales in the previous season of 2022-23.

Meanwhile, in the new season, the demand of woolen mills in the country is estimated to be around 280 lakh bales. Informants were predicting such demand in small units to be around 15 lakh bales and consumption other than mills to be around 16 lakh bales. Thus, in the new season, the surplus quantity of rupees in the country is estimated to be around 34 to 35 lakh bales. In the period of the first four months of the current season from October to January, a total income of about 177 to 178 lakh bales of new rupees has come to the market in various markets of the country. In this period, the market has also heard the discussion that the import of rupees in the country has increased to around four lakh bales. Meanwhile, the demand for mills in the rupee market has recently seen a marked increase. In North and Central India areas, mills full KPCTO have been seen booming. However, the mills were running at 75 percent capacity during the southern load. At the end of January, the stock of rupees with the mills was estimated to be around 40 to 41 lakh bales, while such stock with CCI, Maharashtra Federation, multinational companies, ginners, traders and exporters was found to be around 50 to 51 lakh bales.
