The need for demand-based insurance plans has increased significantly in the wake of the Koro epidemic, which has resulted in more than 1.5 million people getting insurance cover through various insurance policies associated with the epidemic, said IRDA.
IRDA chairman Subhash Khuntia further said that insurance companies should stay with the policyholders and help them in times of trouble. He called on the insurance companies to come up with schemes like Corona shields as well as Corona protectors as the demand for health insurance is increasing due to Corona in recent times.
Due to the epidemic, the demand for policies that cover the cost of corona in particular has increased and insurance companies have introduced insurance policies that fix a certain amount, which is a welcome thing. In less than a month, consumers have bought more than 1.5 million such policies because of the fixed amount, which demonstrates the confidence of consumers in the insurance sector.
