67 per cent growth in residential unit sales in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: Despite the adverse effects of the epidemic, the sale of residential units in the city of Ahmedabad has increased by 3% during the first half of the current calendar year 2021. This was stated in a report released by property consultant Knightfrank India.

According to the data in this report, home sales in Ahmedabad grew by 8% year-on-year to 206 units in the first half of 2021, up from 70 in the first half of 2030.

In terms of home launches, the city has registered 3 units with an increase of 15% annually. Which was at the level of 5 units in the first half of 2020. This growth is largely due to the public law base in the first half of 2020.

During the first phase of 2021, the ticket size remained the same as in the first phase of 2030 in terms of division. Houses costing less than Rs 1 crore account for 2% of home sales, with less than 20 lakh households accounting for 50%.

The decline in sales caused by the second wave of corona infections did not affect the uptick in sales activity in the first half of 2021. Flexible payment options and sport discounts are offered to customers to attract demand.

In the first half of 2021, housing prices stopped declining due to strong interest from homebuyers. The increase in steel, cement and labor costs has led to a 5-12% increase in construction costs over the previous year. The developers tried to pass this addition on to HomeBuy.
