Air India fined Rs 1.10 crore by DGCA, action taken for violation of safety rules

Air India Penalty: A huge penalty has been imposed on Air India by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. DGCA has slapped a fine of Rs 1.10 crore on Air India for violating safety norms in flights. The DGCA has taken major action against the airline regarding the continuous violation of safety regulations in Air India flights.
Enforcement action also started on Air India
The DGCA has also initiated enforcement proceedings on allegations of security violations in flights operated by Air India on important long-haul routes. The DGCA has not yet disclosed the details of the penalty and the specific incident for which the penalty has been imposed. Air India has recently had several incidents of irregularities in its flights and for the same reason has imposed a fine of Rs 1.10 crore for safety violations.
In the last few months, several issues related to Air India came to light
In recent months, many issues related to Air India have come to light. It also includes cases like serving non-veg food to a vegetarian passenger to water dripping from the roof of a flight. The case of water dripping from the roof of the plane is that of Air India Boeing B787 Dream Line, the video of which went viral.
Indigo was also recently fined
Recently on Indigo too Rs. 1.20 crore was imposed as passengers on one of its flights started eating food on the road. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia strongly reacted to the incident and said that this cannot be accepted.
