Sensex jumps 680 points to 43277 new highs

In the midst of a resurgence in global stock markets yesterday amid a surge in global stock markets amid claims by pharma giant Pfizer that its vaccine would be 50 per cent effective amid a resurgence of corona, funds in Indian stock markets continued their historic bullish storm today. Funds maintained an aggressive rally today as Biden decided to come to power after defeating Republican Donald Trump in the US, with pro-NDA results coming back in the Bihar Assembly elections at home. The banking and finance stocks continued their bullish storm, with the Bankex index jumping 116.15 points to a high of 8.15 today. The funds also saw big gains in oil-gas and capital goods-power stocks. While automobile, metal-mine stocks were preferred. Of course there was profit booking in pharma, IT stocks. At the end of the day, the Sensex jumped 20.7 points to close at a new historic high of 19.01 and the Nifty spot jumped 17.5 points. The US dollar had gained two paise to Rs 2.15 against the rupee.
Sensex jumps to 2000 level: 518 sets new history, jumps 20 points to 6.5

Nifty Spot 17 makes new history, jumps 120 points to 17,51 new historical highs

Profit booking in small, mid-cap, cash stocks: 1913 stocks closed negative: only seller circuit in 3 stocks

FPIs / FIIs make a net purchase of Rs 5 crore in cash: DIIs have a net sale of Rs 305 crore
FIIs - Foreign Institutional Investors - Foreign Portfolio Investors - FPIs made a massive net purchase of Rs 4.5 crore in cash today-Tuesday. Of this, a total of Rs 21.8 crore was sold against a total purchase of Rs 19,12.5 crore. On the other hand, DIIs-domestic institutional investors had a net sale of Rs 303.15 crore in cash today.
