The bullet train project between Ahmedabad and Mumbai is progressing rapidly. A high speed corridor is being prepared to cover a distance of 508 km between the two financial hubs of Gujarat and Maharashtra. As of December 31, 2022, 24.73 percent of work has been completed in Gujarat and 13.37 percent in Maharashtra. Girders have been erected on the 21.44 km road. The bullet train will cover the distance in two hours and seven minutes which will serve Sabarmati, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Bilimora, Vapi, Bhaisar, Virar and Thane stations.
