The global semiconductor market is worth $500 billion and is expected to double in 2030. A cold war is going on between America and China to capture the semiconductor market. It is believed that whoever dominates this market will be considered as a super power in the future. This superpower wants to be the market leader by producing semiconductors in its own country. The superpowers want to keep the market which is going to be worth 1000 billion dollars in 2030 under their influence.

Children in China cannot play online games all day

Internet addiction is a huge problem in China. The authorities have made various efforts to free people from this obsession. China also has laws on how many hours boys can play online games. In 2019, there was a restriction that children could only play games for 90 minutes a day. Now, after 2021, under 18s are restricted to play the game for one hour a day on Fridays only once a week. Boys are allowed to play games for one hour a day during the week-long Chinese New Year holiday starting on the 22nd.

Constitution of Judicial Board to determine port charges

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has notified rules for the constitution of Judicial Boards of Major Ports. It will act as a central body to fix fares and resolve public private partnership disputes at all major ports. In a gazette notification, the ministry said the board will now take over the functions of the Tariff Authority of Major Ports, which is the central authority for regulating all shipping and cargo related charges. It also determines the lease rates of properties of major port trusts and private operators there. The proposal for the constitution of the Judicial Board has been brought under the Major Port Authority Act, 2021. It will have all the powers of a civil court.

Before Digging Road..New Application (CBuD)

There is a lack of communication between dozens of government departments, leading to haphazard excavations on the road. The next day after the construction of a new road another government account breaks the road for water line or sewer line in it. Every citizen is saying that if the sewer line had been laid before the road was built, then the road would not have been demolished. Due to such mismanagement, the government suffers a loss of 3000 crores every year. Now the central government has created an application that informs all the concerned accounts before digging the road. Which is known as Call Before Yoy Dig (CBuD). With this system created by the government, the relevant accounts will be notified before the road is constructed.

47.84 crore beneficiaries of Jan Dhan

The total balance of Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yojana (PMJDY) accounts is 1.80 lakh crore. As on 30 December 2022, its total number of beneficiaries was 47.84 crore. Out of which 26.54 crore are women. According to the latest government data, beneficiaries are more in town level and villages. One of the reasons behind the increase in the number of beneficiaries of Jan Dhan Yojana is that the financial benefits of government schemes accrue to them. It is also important that people who did not have bank accounts have bank accounts and have started doing financial transactions with those banks.
