Supreme Court reserves verdict in Adani-Hindenburg case, orders submission of written arguments by Monday

Adani-Hindenburg Case: Hindenburg Report matter was heard in the Supreme Court today. The Supreme Court has reserved the order to probe the Adani-Hindenburg case. The Supreme Court has asked all parties to submit written arguments by Monday. The hearing also discussed how the performance of the stock market could be improved in the future. During the hearing, the petitioner's counsel, Advocate Prashant Bhushan, demanded that the investment in Adani shares be investigated. It is also important to know who has benefited. While SEBI countered that they have already examined all the aspects.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, without naming advocate Prashant Bhushan, said that some people appearing in court send their reports to outside organizations and get them published and then allegations are made in court based on that. The Solicitor General said that the investigation was completed within the time limit set by SEBI.

Responding to this, Prashant Bhushan said that many things have been said in the Hindenburg Report. Regarding this, CJI DY Chandrachud said that, we cannot accept everything in the Hindenburg Report as absolute truth. SEBI was asked to investigate this. In response to which Bhushan said that SEBI has not conducted a proper investigation in this matter. The money was wrongly sent to Dubai and Mauritius and then the same money was reinvested in Adani shares, he said. SEBI has not looked into these aspects. On that, the judge said, if the money has gone out wrongly, is it not the point of DRI's investigation instead of SEBI's?
