We have a wealth of knowledge for the herbal sector in India. It is also in a position to compete in the global market very systematically. Herbal products can be developed as good quality substitutes against synthetic drugs, side-effect chemicals in the world.

According to the rules and regulations of the World Health Organization, it is necessary to have the certification of WHO to go to the global market. Which covers food, pharma and cosmetic. Product standardization certificate, human health protection, R&D, technology, establishment are very necessary before going to global market.

Our country has extra ordinary knowledge of herbal and herbal products. But that is not the fact. Almost every country in the world has a long history and knowledge of herbalism, its traditional societies emphatically claim. Among them are China, Japan and Africa.

Traditional competition may also become possible when India wins a significant share for herbal products in the global market. Then India will have to be very prepared like modern technology, practical, quality, analysis, super extraction, specific equipment, yield, investment for large quantity and timely delivery will be very necessary.

Finally marketing data base of herbal products supply, commercial factor becomes necessary. If the Government of India and State Governments understand and organize the private sector on a large scale, then India can play a huge role in outsourcing.

* Information about essential oil:- Source of natural aromatic essential oil is based on natural cultivation plant. Which is distilled by different methods. In which pure essential oil is produced using water distillation, water and steam distillation, direct steam distillation and solvent extraction.

90 percent of the world's essential oils are produced in 1,50,000 hectares. Lion share of cultivation plant-mint oil and menthol-mint oil in U.P. Goes to the Barabanki of the State. This organic essential oil is pesticide, residue and toxic material free. It is used in many products like cosmetic, confectionery, beverages, pan-masala, cigarette, pharmaceutical, toiletry, disinfectant, insect repellent.

* Modern Distillation Plant Equipment:- A modern distillation plant can be equipped with furnace and steam generator, stainless steel condenser, separator, distiller and fabrication. Suppose the project is set up in a rural area, government bodies like Khadi and Village Industries Commission provide 25 percent subsidy.

These types of units are also in other states of India including Uttaranchal, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Jammu-Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Arunachal, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and now Gujarat has also started cultivation of perfumes in which Distillation plants for different types of organic essential oils like menthol-mint, lemongrass, javacitronilla, etc. are being prepared.

* Preservation:- These types of aromatic essential oils do not last long in the atmosphere so they need to be preserved. Antioxidants are also necessary.

* Antioxidant:- 10 parts of butylated hydroxy anisole, and hydroxy toluene, 6 parts of dodecyl-gallate, 4 parts of citric and 70 parts of hexylene glycol are combined and a one percent solution is used as an antioxidant.

Note:- All types of herbal should be filled in enamel or steel pan only. Contact with aluminum or non-stick pan can destroy herbal properties.

* The Industries:- The license under the Industries Act and clearance from Pollution Control Board is a must.
