The stage is set for a significant takeover of the Indian corporate world. Dabur India has entered into an agreement to buy 51 percent stake in the well-known spice brand Badshah Masala. Dabur India will pay Rs 587.52 crore for 51 percent stake in Badshah Masala. Once this process is completed, Dabur will buy the remaining 49 percent stake and acquire the company. It is believed that this deal will be completed within five years. Dabur will pay a total of Rs 1152 crore to acquire Badshah Masala. Badshah Masala was started in 1958 by Jawaharlal Jamnadas Zaveri. Started by Zaveri from a small unit in Mumbai's Ghatkopar, the company is currently one of the top brands in the spice market in India.
