Covid 19: FPI withdraws Rs 1.1 lakh crore from Indian stock and debit market in March

Investors' perceptions around the world have been influenced by the Covid-19 hit. Because of this, Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) withdrew a record Rs 1.1 lakh crore from the Indian capital markets in March.
FPIA raised Rs. 61,973 crore and withdrawn Rs56,211 crore from the debt or bond market, thus withdrawing Rs 1,18,184 crore from the Indian capital market.
For the past six months, from September 2019 to February 2020, FPI had invested in Indian capital markets.
National Securities Depository Ltd. Since Dwarka FPI investment figures are being made available, this is the most recent FPI withdrawal in a month.
Is a big number. In just two sessions in April, foreign investors withdrew Rs 6,735 crore from Indian capital markets. Out of this, 3,802 crore shares and Rs. Over 2,933 crore bonds have been pulled.
